In the summer, Antwerp is more than ever an active city and that energy can also be felt at Cosmocollege. During the summer course the emphasis is on the spoken language: debates, presentations, listening exercises and language games. You learn new words, improve your speaking skills and are an integral part of this course. You can also participate in grammar workshops.
There are lessons every day from 9 am to 3 pm, except on Wednesdays. From 15h to 16h30 you can go to the study class to do your homework or for extra exercises. Be sure to bring your laptop or tablet. There is WiFi at the school. There is always assistance available to help you find the right study material: listening and reading exercises with assignments, exercises on grammar, etc.
On Wednesday it is time for sports and culture. All day long. Mini golf, wall climbing, swimming, city walks, a visit to the Zoo, the Rubens House, … are on the program. Students at cosmocollege constantly tell us that they are particularly pleased with the personal attention they receive from everyone. This is also one of the reasons why many students come back every year. From 2018 we limit the number of students per group to 9!
Cosmocollege is mainly aimed at students who are motivated to improve their Dutch in a short time. Although the minimum age is 18 years old, younger students (17 years old) are admitted during the summer, after a meeting with the management and a written authorization from the parents.
Every Monday in July and August. You can register for one week, but we recommend to come two weeks (or more) earlier. You get – without supplement – the weekend with full board in your host family.
A1, A2 en B1
If you do not know Dutch yet or only know a few words then you can not register for the Summer course. You should then follow a course for Beginners. But it is summer for everyone, and you can participate in a number of activities together with the other students.
Do you already have a level B2 or C1? Then the summer course is not so suitable for you, but we can work out a special program for you. Contact us.
